The garage
We are a small group of diecast collectors in Michigan who got tired of looking for Matchbox models across a dozen half-updated pages. So we built the case we wanted: every car we can confirm as Matchbox, in a tray, with a price that was true when we last looked.
The site is a catalog, not a shop. We do not hold stock, pack boxes or take payment. Every model links out to the partner store that actually sells it, and the purchase, the delivery and the warranty all belong to that store.
How a model gets a card
It has to be Matchbox. We check the manufacturer against the listing rather than guessing from the title, because plenty of small diecast cars are described in ways that imply a brand they do not have.
It has to be for sale and it has to have a price. Models that are listed but unavailable do not get a card, and neither do reseller listings priced well above the normal run of the catalog.
Duplicates get merged. Where the same model appears under two listings, we keep the one that is in stock.
How often this changes
Prices move constantly and we re-check them on a schedule rather than continuously. The figure on a card is the last one we read; the figure in the store is the one you pay. If the two disagree, the store is right.
New releases are added when they appear in the catalog. Models that go out of production stay listed until the last stock clears, then come off.
What we write ourselves
The descriptions on every card are ours, written from that specific model's own specification. We do not reuse one paragraph across a tray and we do not invent features a box does not claim.
Reviews are the exception, and deliberately so: those are copied word for word from real buyers on the listing. We pick them, we never edit them, and we never write them.
